Eurasia Boat Show - Istanbul
13-22 February 2009
Room 13 are delighted to be partnered with CNR, Turkey and Holland Boating Promotion to offer UK companies an easy route into this vibrant and growing marketplace.
It is for the third time that the world’s second biggest boat
and yacht fair will be organized.
Istanbul, being the gateway between Asia and Europe, and
having strong ties with the Balkan, Cuacasian, Cis and Middle
East Countries, is one of the main arguments for participating
in this event.
CNR Ekspo Trade Fairs, supported by Dentur – the Maritime
Tourism and Development Association - is expected to host
350 participating firms and more than 200 vessels. A widely
spread PR and advertising campaign has to ensure that over
200.000 visitors will find their way to the show.
The 2009 show will cover 12 halls with a total of 116.500
square meters. The participants will represent a wide range of
companies, running from constructors and designers of mega
yachts, sailing boats and dinghies, speed and cruise boats,
motor yacht and power equipment to producers and importers
of boating accessories, construction materials, water sports
gear, sea wear, marine rescue and emergency gear but also
marina construction and equipment.
Why participate at the Eurasia Boat Show?
In addition to the gateway function between Asia and Europe as mentioned
above, the
rapid development in Turkish yacht building is another very important reason to exhibit. Traditional skills of
boatbuilding, combined with modern technologies and training
has put Turkish Yacht Building on the map and has become an
important economic activity. The quality of the boats has brought
Turkey to one of the big “players”. In total 260 yacht manufacturers
are officially registered.
This progression has attracted investors as well as potential
buyers. Since 1992 Turkey belongs to the big suppliers of mega
yachts and is ranking on the 4th place as a yacht building country. About 50% of the spare parts for the yacht building industry
is imported. High tech products like engines, generators propulsion
systems, electronics and piping systems are imported.
As 50% of the new build boats by the in total 260 registered
boat builders stays on the home market, therefore there is an
important market for the construction and outfi t of marina’s and
quays.
All together a number of reasons to make use of this splendid
international “match making opportunity” for companies active
in the Watersports Industry.
