Exhibition Introduction:
History: In 1999, the industrial development in Dongguan Guangdong China and the whole Pearl River Delta area had been very vigorous. The demand of new technology, up-to-date equipment and materials was eager. At that time, there was no industrial show or exhibition site. Paper Communication Exhibition Services noticed it and held 1st DMP Show at Dongguang Stadium in December 1999 with 256 booths and 172 exhibitors. The response was enthusiastic and many buyers visited the show for purchasing purpose. Actually, it was the first step for making DMP Show success.
In 2002, DMP Show removed to GD Modern International Exhibition Center, a newly development exhibition site at that time, in Houjie, Dongguan. Thus the scale of the show expanded to 1104 booths.

Scale of last year: DMP2006 had 3556 booths; 1191 exhibitors and 104989 buyers.
Scale of this year: DMP2007 is estimated to have 80800 sqm; 4500 booths; 1300 exhibitors and 110,000 buyers. Various new techniques and up-to-date equipment will be shown and DMP has been the largest Mould and Plastics Machinery Show in South China Region already.

Rope access industry drop-in at Working at Height 2008

Members of the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) have come-out in strong support for the new Working at Height Exhibition 2008, 2-3rd April, Stoneleigh Park, Nr Coventry.

Working in close co-operation with the exhibition organisers’ Room 13, IRATA have designed a Pavilion at the show to support and promote the rope access industry.

The Pavilion provides a cost-effective platform for IRATA member companies to promote their services to a wide variety of industries. It will also include a theatre, where an exciting programme of seminars aimed at both the rope access professional and end-buyer will run over the two days of the show.

Rod Dymott, Chief Executive of IRATA comments: “We are pleased to support this new initiative, which for the first time in the UK provides an opportunity for access providers to promote themselves at a dedicated event. It is good to see support from IRATA members such as: Activ Safety Systems, Arun Construction, Lyon Equipment, Roxby, Spanset, Tag Safety and Vertical Technology and we are currently exploring the possibility of moving the IRATA Spring meeting schedule to coincide with Working at Height.”

The Working at Height Exhibition 2008 will include providers of all types of access solutions and includes active demonstrations and a strong seminar programme supported by the HSE

Important New Event for the Working at Height Industry

Room 13 Ltd., in conjunction with Hi Plan Expo, are pleased to announce the first Working at Height Exhibition in the UK which will be held at the Stoneleigh Park Exhibition Centre from 2nd. - 3rd. April, 2008.

The exhibition has been designed to present those with Working at Height requirements, the opportunity to review equipment, structures, systems and accessories providing safe and effective solutions to their  ‘ at height ‘ operations.

The Organisers have recognised the very real effects of recent legislation on all those finding it necessary to work at height. Although there will be a focus on the Access Industry and it’s importance in Building Construction and Maintenance there will also be an emphasis on equipment created to aid and assist those Working at Height within Events and Entertainment, Forestry and Agriculture and the Public and Civic Services.

Stoneleigh Park Exhibition Centre provides for modern display facilities with ample opportunity for not only exhibition but also demonstration.  Located as it is close to the City of Coventry it lies at the very heart of England and is easily accessible from most regions of the country.

Alongside the purpose built pavilions are a number of conference and meeting rooms, which the Organisers will make available for seminars, workshops and corporate presentations.

Bob Hudson, the Managing Director of organisers Room 13 Ltd., believes that in recent years Europe wide directives have, by re-defining Working at Height, highlighted the importance of professional and responsible applications when carrying out any task which is necessarily executed in a position from which a fall or drop could cause injury or damage.  Bob is pleased to be able to present this opportunity to industry and commerce to meet with those able to provide a safe and profitable answer to their requirements.

Working at Height 2008 is being supported by many of the leading access industry associations, and the HSE will be presenting an exciting, solutions-driven programme of events at the show.

Liftex early response

PRESS RELEASE, 19 May 2006. LIFTEX 07, 16-17 May 2007, ExCeL, London.

The meeting place for the UK lift and escalator market

Large response to open door policy.

Following the decision of the Lift and Escalator Industry Association (LEIA) to open the show to non-member exhibitors, there has been a tremendous response from companies wishing to promote themselves at Liftex 07.

To ensure fairness to previous exhibitors, promotion to non-member companies is not due to start until July; despite this, stand enquiries have been flooding in from the UK, USA, Spain and Sweden.

“To date we have nearly twenty new companies awaiting their stand allocations and new bookings are coming in all the time.” comments Bob Hudson, Liftex Show Manager, “With this level of interest Liftex is set for a significant expansion in 2007.”

Bob Lee, Technical Director at LEIA added “This level of early response from non-LEIA companies clearly vindicates the decision to open up the show and demonstrates the power of word of mouth within the industry. The anticipated growth of Liftex is well-timed for the UK marketplace and will ultimately benefit our members”

Companies interested in exhibiting or attending Liftex 07 can find information on the LEIA web site www.leia.co.uk, or by contacting the show manager Bob Hudson on ++ 44 (0)1732 810333 or email bob@room-13.co.uk.

Liftex 07 opens its doors

PRESS RELEASE, 6 April 2006. LIFTEX 07, 16-17 May 2007, ExCeL, London.

The meeting place for the UK lift and escalator market

Liftex opens its doors…

Liftex, the Lift and Escalator Industry Association (LEIA) exhibition will be in its twentieth year in 2007 and this milestone will be celebrated with the show being open for the first time to international and non-member exhibitors. This will satisfy the visitor demand to see a broader range of companies, and will enhance the show’s position as the shop window for the UK lift and escalator market.

There has always been a healthy level of interest from non-LEIA companies, especially outside the UK to exhibit at Liftex, but up until 2004 it was felt that the exhibition should remain for the exclusive benefit of member companies. This opinion shifted significantly after Liftex 04, when the exhibitor survey returned a majority in favour of opening up the show.

Visitor research from the last two events concurs with this opinion, with the quality of the show being highly rated, but over 90% of visitors stated their wish to see a wider range of exhibitors, including foreign companies.

David Fazakerley, Managing Director of LEIA commented: “I am delighted that our members have agreed to allow non-member companies to exhibit, a decision which empowers us to develop Liftex as the major event in the UK lift and escalator industry calendar.”

Significant growth is anticipated for Liftex in 2007, with nearly all of the exhibitors from the previous show wishing to book either the same or larger stands, and many new enquiries being received. Companies interested in exhibiting or attending Liftex 07 can find information on the LEIA web site www.leia.co.uk, or by contacting the show manager Bob Hudson on ++ 44 (0)1732 810333 or email bob@room-13.co.uk.

The opening of Liftex 07 to non-LEIA member companies has been well received by both previous exhibitors and newcomers to the show. At a recent exhibitor briefing held at the Excel centre in London, nearly sixty participants listened intently as the new plans were unveiled by David Fazakerley, MD of LEIA and Bob Hudson, Exhibition Manager for Liftex 07. In addition to American suppliers, SGMA Spring Market attracts a large number of Asian manufacturers keen to tap into the valuable and influential US sports sector. Commenting on the appointment, Charlie Greco, CEO of Universal Event Management stated: “The wide experience of the team at Room 13 within the European events market, coupled with their extensive knowledge of expos in the States, makes them an ideal partner for UEM in Europe. Bob Hudson, Managing Director of Room 13 added: “We are delighted to be working with Charlie and the team at UEM, they have a fantastic track record for making events work. The SGMA event offers a great opportunity for European manufacturers to access the hugely important US sports marketplace, and Room 13 will offer all the support and guidance needed to ensure that exhibitors enjoy the maximum benefit from the Show.”

SGMA - TAG alliance

TAG SIGNS MULTI-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH SGMA SPRING MARKET
TAG to move its summer buying event to SGMA Spring Market
beginning in 2007

WASHINGTON, D.C., October 25, 2006 – The Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association (SGMA) and Team Athletic Goods, Inc. (TAG) today announced a strategic alliance that will incorporate TAG’s annual summer buying event into SGMA Spring Market (June 11-13, 2007; Sands Expo & Convention Center; Las Vegas, NV). The five-year agreement between the two organizations will begin with the launch of SGMA Spring Market in Las Vegas in June 2007, and continue through 2011. Combined, the two organizations will provide an invaluable opportunity for team sports retailers and manufacturers to network and do business.

TAG’s summer buying event will occupy 50,000 gross square feet on the SGMA exhibit floor, and will feature more than 100 exhibiting manufacturers. The TAG Buying Center will feature meeting rooms and product presentations available exclusively to TAG members.

This news follows the June 2006 announcement that TAG will hold its National Sales Training Seminar at SGMA Spring Market in June 2007, which will bring together TAG dealers’ road sales professionals for education and training.

In total, TAG expects to bring more than 400 team dealer owners, buyers and sales representatives to the event.

“SGMA Spring Market makes sense for TAG,” said Stan Morrison, CEO of TAG. “With many major manufacturers already committed to the event and an extensive educational program designed specifically for team dealers and specialty retailers, we consider this a must-attend event for any major player in the sporting goods and fitness industry.”

“We are delighted to work together with TAG to create an event that brings together the key players in the team sports market,” said SGMA President Tom Cove. “We believe the efficiencies created by this alliance will increase the ROI for all participating exhibitors and buyers.  Being in position to do more business at one show is a win-win scenario for everyone.”

SGMA Spring Market will take place June 11-13, 2007 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas. For more information on the event, visit www.sgmamarkets.com.
